Discover Yardley's growing dining scene along the Delaware River. This charming borough offers casual eateries and neighborhood favorites.
Yardley sits along the Delaware River in lower Bucks County. The dining scene is small but has grown steadily over the past decade. The river is the draw. Several restaurants have riverside or river-adjacent seating, and the late-afternoon light over the Delaware is a real reason to push your reservation back to 6 or 7pm.
Yardley's dining is concentrated along Main Street and the few blocks closest to the river. The Yardley Inn, a longtime riverfront fixture, anchors the upscale end. Other spots fill in with casual American, Italian, a couple of seafood-focused kitchens, and several well-regarded breakfast and brunch destinations. The borough is small enough that you can park once and walk to almost everything in a few minutes.
The food scene here is more residential than tourist-driven, so restaurants tend to focus on regulars and consistency rather than splashy openings. Expect well-run, mid-to-upscale dining at lower prices than New Hope. Riverfront patios are the warm-weather draw; Yardley's Delaware views are some of the best in lower Bucks County. The town also has a growing craft beverage scene, including a brewery within walking distance of downtown.
Insider Tip
Riverfront restaurants book up early on warm-weather weekends. The patio season runs roughly April through October, and the best tables go to people who reserve a week ahead. Weekday dinner is usually walk-in friendly even at the most popular spots.
